“It’s a terrible thing to win a Monaco Grand Prix, win the 24 Hours of Le Mans and also win the Indy500… I tried the latter three times, but it didn’t work out. That’s the only thing missing from the triple crown, but it’s not my priority at the moment. Now I’m concentrating with all my nerves on winning my third Formula 1 world championship! I want to achieve that in the next two or three years. I consider that my number one and only task at the moment.
"But I still have dreams. The second biggest challenge would be to win the Dakar Rally. If I could win that too, it would be a huge satisfaction for me. I've won championships in F1, at the pinnacle of endurance racing and at its biggest races, Le Mans and Daytona, and if I could make my mark in cross-country rallying, that would mean a lot," said a motivated Alonso.
