Honda Racing Corporation boss Koji Watanabe believes Adrian Newey's move to Aston Martin means they will be able to build the best car in the world together. With Newey's arrival, the team can repeat and even surpass Red Bull Racing's success, making them the best team in the world, according to the company.
“It’s really inspiring to see Aston Martin constantly working to move forward as a team. The investments in infrastructure and human resources, such as building a modern wind tunnel and HQ, and signing Adrian Newey, are really gratifying. I know Adrian, we’ve worked together before, and he has an incredible passion for building fast cars. While they’re working on the chassis and we’re working on the engine, there’s bound to be friction, and we have to be prepared for that. But if we can overcome that and work it out, we’ll build the best car in the world. And if that happens, we’ll be the best team in the world!”
