Karun Chandok says the form seen in Miami by McLaren and Lando Norris was not just a flare-up, but could also be dangerous for Max Verstappen in Imola, Britain.
Chandok pointed out that Norris has always been very fond of the Imola track, where he was extremely fast, and that this strip of asphalt also suits McLaren:
"Lando has always been good here, on this Italian track. He has always been devastatingly fast in qualifying, and he was even able to get on the podium in the race, even though his best lap was taken away there. The improved car that debuted in Miami will certainly work well in Imola. I also base this on the fact that Miami was not exactly a favorable track for a McLaren on paper... Now let's just think about what will happen if they take it to a place that suits both the technology and the driver. The many slow corners that were in Miami are not the Papayas' strong point, but they were still terribly fast. So, I have a feeling that McLaren will represent a very serious force this weekend, in Imola as well." - mused the former F1 driver.
