Yuki Tsunoda's situation has gone from being a promising prospect just a few days ago to a dramatic one, as Red Bull Racing has openly stated that they will let him go.
The latter was done by none other than Christian Horner, the leader, almighty, and decision-maker of the Red Bull Racing team:
"We are fully aware that if we cannot provide Yuki Tsunoda with a chance to progress, then I don't really see the point in keeping him. We couldn't bring him up to the senior team, and we can't keep him in our junior team for many years to come. We have to be able to let him go at some point so he can look for a better opportunity. Of course, we can't completely rule out the possibility that he still has a chance to progress, nor that Racing Bulls will be more competitive than in previous years.
I spoke to Yuki, he accepted it, he stayed motivated, he wants to show that he will be the guy who can get everything out of RB. What we do is we help them technically, next year they will get our rear suspension and our gearbox. I trust that the team will develop, they will mature, and things can change very quickly… For example, would anyone have thought that in less than a year Liam Lawson would be our driver in 2025? This is such a profession, and he is aware of this, he knows that he has to show that he can be counted on,” said Christian Horner about Yuki Tsunoda.
If we were Tsunoda, we wouldn't even wait for tomorrow for this team...
