Hamilton: "I've never spun..."

Hamilton: „Én még sosem forogtam meg…”

Lewis Hamilton is admitting that a driver error caused him to spin out on the first lap of the US Grand Prix. The seven-time world champion attributes his crash to a technical error.

After the race, Hamilton lost his temper and demanded a more serious overhaul from the team. Not only did the improvements not work, but the car became even worse than before the four-week break:

"I had a similar incident in the first free practice when I spun at turn three. It's incredibly rare, I've never spun at this track before. You saw George Russell struggle with it on Saturday, but he went back to the old spec, so it could be the new development package. The car keeps bouncing, so if I didn't spin at turn three, or not on that lap, it would have happened at another corner, or at another time. There was something wrong with the car, I've been suffering all weekend. I've never spun at a race in my life. It wasn't because of a lack of concentration, it was because my technique wasn't good. It's devastating, but it is what it is, I'm just concentrating on getting back in the car on Friday," Hamilton lamented.
