Lewis Hamilton has always been famous for planning his life after motorsport: Fashion industry, music, film roles... but now, on the occasion of the Paris Olympics, he said something that made everyone's heads spin!
The seven-time world champion has been seriously considering trying out an Olympic act. The fact that the idea was not a pipe dream is clear from what he told CNN:
“I have a really good friend, he’s a fencer named Miles Chamley-Watson. We give each other a lot of support, we talk every single day. I know how damn hard he works to be successful, and I really want to be a part of that world. I haven’t committed yet, but nothing is off the table… It’s a lot of extra work, but it’s also really, really exciting and interesting!
It was not clear from the interview which sport Lewis Hamilton was referring to, perhaps fencing, but one thing is certain. We are not talking about surfing:
"I'm not good enough to be there with him at the Olympics, but maybe one day I'll be able to compete in an Olympic sport," he said.
Well, in the meantime, we can only guess what it will be!
