While everyone is blowing the whistle on Max Verstappen and Lando Norris in Austria (until boredom...), a rather interesting rumor has taken hold.
Which is no longer just a rumor, as a person from Lewis Hamilton's inner circle - a business partner - has already discussed this matter. Perhaps we don't need to elaborate on how useful this would be for Liberty Media, who have a firm goal of holding more Formula 1 weekends combined with MotoGP in the future. And then let's get to the hard facts...
During the weekend of the Dutch MotoGP Grand Prix, several sources reported that Hamilton was keen on joining the premier class Gresini team, and that a member of his management team had already met with the team's management, led by Nadia Padovani. Gresini currently operates as a "subsidiary" of Ducati, and their jewel is Marc Marquez, the rider who has won countless world titles and will soon continue his career with the factory team.
Who knows, maybe one day we'll even see Lewis Hamilton riding for his own team?
