In fact, with only two free practices behind them, aware of many variables, and with even less experience, the field started qualifying for the Dutch Grand Prix.
In Q1, during the first real fast laps, Lewis Hamilton and the two McLarens seemed to be the strongest, while strangely, Aston Martin also clung to the big ones. The interesting thing here was not the team, but rather the driver: instead of Fernando Alonso, the deservedly pitiful Lance Stroll was the one who was driving. The top three were Sergio Perez, George Russell, Carlos Sainz, while the names of Daniel Ricciardo, Esteban Ocon, Valtteri Bottas and Guanyu Zhou, Logan Sargeant were recorded among the eliminated names.
After the opening laps of Q2, McLaren was once again brilliant, Stroll continued to hold his own, while Max Verstappen was still weak. In the end, the trio of Norris, Piastri, Russell was the fastest in this stage, while in a huge surprise we were forced to say goodbye to Lewis Hamilton, Carlos Sainz, Yuki Tsunoda and the Two Haas.
In the last stage, Norris, Piastri, Verstappen started, and it was clear that this trio would be the ones to win the Dutch Grand Prix pole position. We weren't wrong with this statement, only the order changed slightly, as Lando Norris eventually got the first starting position ahead of Max Verstappen and Oscar Piastri.
