As expected, there was a real frenzy surrounding Lewis Hamilton's first appearance in Maranello - even though the seven-time world champion hasn't even gotten into the car yet. He will do so on Wednesday, but the fans don't care, they are already on site, there isn't a single free room in the area.

Of course, Scuderia Ferrari also reported on the big day, which gives us a detailed insight into the newcomer's program:

"Lewis arrived at our team headquarters in Maranello this morning, where he was given a tour. From there, he headed to the Fiorano circuit, where he visited Enzo Ferrari's house and was met by Frederic Vasseur and Benedetto Vigna in the square named after another seven-time world champion, Michael Schumacher. Here, the usual first photos were taken, with Lewis's favorite Ferrari model, the F40.
They then visited Enzo Ferrari's house, including the famous office from which the founder himself oversaw the affairs of his team. Hamilton then returned to HQ, where he met with management, and spent the rest of the day completing a comprehensive, in-depth programme with Pietro Ferrari.

"He visited the various departments, got to know the team, and had a seat test. The work will continue tomorrow with technical briefings, which will begin the actual preparation for the challenging season ahead," said Ferrari's press department.
