While every Formula 1 portal in existence is wagging its tail as a Lewis Hamilton FAN SITE this week, Helmut Marko has come, seen, and said a word again!
According to the great old man of Red Bull Racing, it is clearer than ever that in the current F1 field, Max Verstappen is by far the best, and Lewis Hamilton is far from him:
"Let's look at 2024. Our car was not suitable for victory on several occasions, and Max was the extra that was needed for success. He became world champion because he can simply find o0.1-0.2 tenths of a second per lap in places that no one else can. Yes, Lewis Hamilton too! He may still be fast, but will he be able to keep up with Max for a whole season? I doubt it. If he gets a great Ferrari and we can only put a mediocre Red Bull under Max, the latter will still be the winner of the two. So Max Verstappen will do his job, now it's our turn to give him a car that can win not only occasionally, but consistently.

"Last season, unfortunately, it didn't work. We were the fastest, but then after a week, nothing was visible from that pace. We need to push the car's operating range, that's what we're working on," Helmut Marko gave an insight into the long-term plans.
