FP2 at the Italian Grand Prix, which was still punctuated by mistakes, but already produced several meaningful laps, was won by seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton.
The first third of the session was similar to FP1, with Ferrari dominating. The Reds were three to four tenths of a second faster than the Lando Norris and Max Verstappen duo on medium compounds. Lewis Hamilton showed himself behind them, but these minutes were all about Ferrari.
Later on, the drivers got closer on the soft tyres, the five drivers mentioned above were all at almost the same pace, with the difference measuring around one and a half tenths. In the end, Lewis Hamilton proved to be the fastest ahead of Lando Norris and Carlos Sainz, but it would be a shame to draw any conclusions from this result list…
