We can look back on a very busy day, as after the sprint of the Austrian Grand Prix, another tough competition followed, the traditional qualifying.
In Q1, after the first fast laps, George Russell, Charles Leclerc and Lando Norris were in the lead, but it was all a false start. In the end, Carlos Sainz, Oscar Piastri and Max Verstappen made it into the top 3 of the first seksi standings, while the two Stakes, the two Williams and Logan Sargeant were among the eliminated drivers.
Verstappen had already found a time for Q2 that made us feel like the qualifying session was at least over. Behind him, similarly to the previous ones, Sainz and Russell scratched, while the McLarens only advanced to Q3 in 5th-6th places. Those who did not advance were the two Visa Cash App drivers, Fernando Alonso, Kevin Magnussen and Pierre Gasly.
Verstappen's dominance clearly continued in Q3, and after the first laps it was easy to give pole position to the Dutchman. The only excitement was the identity of the challenger, which was Norris again. The Briton was getting closer to the Red Bull compared to the previous stages, but his disadvantage was still (unfortunately) substantial. Yes, unfortunately, dear reader, because we always pushed for a close final result, a competitive and combative qualifying, where the winner's name doesn't really matter, only the experience matters. Well, there was only a little of that here, as Max Verstappen effortlessly took pole ahead of Lando Norris and George Russell...
We hope that tomorrow we will have a more adrenaline-filled Austrian Grand Prix, in the meantime, if you are at the Red Bull Ring, come and visit the FansBrands stand in person!
