Heavy rain, skidding, yellow and red flag phases, an accident, and after a few laps, Lando Norris's victory. That's what happened in Montreal, in short, during the first practice session of the Canadian Grand Prix.
It's not really possible to think much more about it, as we didn't see any cars on the track for a long time. Time passed, but the pit lane was closed. We had to wait 21 minutes for the first real event, when Lewis Hamilton came out for a feeler lap. The Briton tried on intermediate tires, while the other few adventurers were still on full rain tires, but the ride didn't last long, because Guanyu Zhou slammed the Alfa into the wall nicely... Red flag.
After the restart, the weather also got an update, first the lappers switched to intermediate rain tires, then the slicks came out, on which Lando Norris finally proved to be the fastest ahead of Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc. To be continued soon, hopefully with more action...
