New winds are blowing at Haas, where this season, under the management of Ayao Komatsu, promises radical changes. As part of this, they will head into 2025 with a new driver line-up, support from Toyota Gazoo Racing, and a sporting innovation that will make history!
The latter is the first female engineer in Formula 1, which was created due to a change of positions within the team. The young lady, named Laura Müller, will be Esteban Ocon's right-hand man. According to Komatsu, the pair is a winner!
“She’s a very determined character. And since Esteban is a similar character, I think they’re a great fit. Laura’s best feature is that when she sees a problem, she dives in, digs really deep, and comes up with multiple possible solutions. Some people stop at the first answer that makes sense, but she’s not like that. She has a fantastic work ethic, knowing that if she finds a solution to one problem, she also sees that she’s going to have to answer ten more questions.

"I'm impressed by her dedication, I think they will be very successful together," Ayao Komatsu praised the first lady on the pit wall.
