It wasn't the race of the century, and Lando Norris made it difficult for himself. Nevertheless, McLaren was in a good position, and Red Bull didn't let up either.
After a tough but clean start, not much changed in terms of the leaderboard, Lando Norris maintained his leading position ahead of Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton. The one who showed the most beautiful catch-up was Franco Collapinto with Williams. The Argentine threw himself in front of his teammate with such vehemence that it somewhat disturbed Alexander Albon, who lost a lot of positions and fell to the back of the line. Meanwhile, at the front, Norris started to tear Verstappen away from him and built up a very serious gap of over ten seconds.
We reached the first pit stops, but this did not radically change what we saw: we will not remember the Singapore Grand Prix when we look for the race of the year. There was hardly any action or change of place on the track, for example. Sergio Perez behind the wheel of the Red Bull was unable to fight his way through Collapinto for a very long time. Albon did not have such problems, as he had to give up the race early due to a technical fault. At the halfway point of the race, Norris was also brought in, who was already so good that a leisurely coffee break would have been suitable…
This caused some confusion for the young Briton, who in his solitude began to kick the wall, thus endangering his own race victory. We could only see some reorganization at Mercedes, where with good tactics Lewis Hamilton and George Russell swapped places, and the latter was in a podium position. He was driven by Piastri, and not without a chance… On lap 46, he overtook the Briton and was already on Verstappen's trail! In the end, the hand did not change, Lando Norris won the Singapore Grand Prix ahead of Max Verstappen and Oscar Piastri, and further reduced his disadvantage in the individual world championship.
