The Red Bull Racing rookie has made a solid start, in terms of messaging: Yuki Tsunoda has set his sights on nothing less than a podium finish at his home race weekend.
And the best part is that the Japanese competitor doesn't even think it's a big deal, it doesn't mean he's putting too much pressure on himself:
" I've already spent two days in the simulator , and from what I experienced there, the car didn't seem so bad to me. The difference I felt was that the front end is very sensitive, but I was prepared for this, many people have told me that . But if you were to ask me if it was difficult to drive, I would say it wasn't particularly difficult. At least in the simulator. Obviously , we will change my settings , I want to get to know the technique well , find my setup , and continuously increase the pace from the first practice . It's not good to set expectations for myself very high , but I have a definite goal: I want to finish on the podium at the Japanese Grand Prix." - Tsunoda stated with surprising urgency .
