Despite this, none of this has affected Verstappen's confidence, which is still at an all-time high:
"My car bounced like a go-kart, especially on the shakers, and it was undriveable. The team confirmed all this, and I can confidently say that no one could have been faster than me with this design. We may have stumbled, but I would gladly challenge anyone to get in and drive this car in Monaco. I am dead sure that they would not be faster than me. No one! Nothing worked out, but we are not worried, there are more tracks coming that will suit us well. And let's not write off the work of Scuderia Ferrari and McLaren, they have really come closer to us, that is undeniable. There was something that we have managed to cover up with racing qualities so far, but now we have to start working on our problems." - stated Max Verstappen sharply and critically of the team.
