Most people started lapping on mediums, but Lando Norris put on the softs early on. Later, more and more people followed the British example and started doing the qualifying simulations. For a long time, Max Verstappen led on mediums, and the distribution of sector times was also interesting: whoever was fastest in the middle or last couldn't even contribute to the top times.
