Will there be a surprise in qualifying for the British Grand Prix? It seems that way, as Red Bull and Max Verstappen haven't really found their feet after FP3.
The conditions are not really conducive to car racing, for example, the F3 sprint race was canceled due to the heavy rainfall. Despite the fact that the field was preparing for the last practice before qualifying, the boys were not in a hurry to get on the track, we had to wait a long time for the first car to appear on intermediate tires.
There were many mistakes, Max Verstappen's spin had not yet caused a problem, but Pierre Gasly had already slid into the gravel at such a point that the stage had to be interrupted with a red flag. There was a lot of water on the track at that time, so it was understandable that careful work was carried out on the track. The best three Britons were George Russell, Lewis Hamilton and Lando Norris in that order, and since the situation did not improve, but only worsened, the composition of the top 3 did not change until the whistle. Everyone tried, everyone slid - including Verstappen - but so far the breakthrough power in Red Bull that we have become accustomed to from them is not visible.
Is another surprise coming?
