British Grand Prix: A surprising but BEAUTIFUL Hamilton victory!

Brit Nagydíj: Meglepő, de SZÉP Hamilton győzelem!

Krisztián Márk Tóth |

The race in Silverstone started as a game of chance, and in the end, the one we would have expected the least to win was Lewis Hamilton!

At the start, everything went smoothly, only Max Verstappen was able to gain a position in the lead, who closed in third after a few corners. Pierre Gasly had problems during the lead-up lap, so the Frenchman drove into the pit lane and started together with Sergio Perez. In the meantime, the rain was hanging ominously, and it would not have hurt if it had arrived, because the British Grand Prix was slowly but surely starting to deteriorate into a terribly boring train ride. George Russell had already built up a serious lead by this time, and Verstappen was unable to move forward, not even compared to Lewis Hamilton. The first raindrops arrived on lap 16 and Lando Norris also arrived, who easily passed Verstappen, so the Briton was already in third place. By the time we wrote this, Oscar Piastri had already passed the Dutch driver… Meanwhile, there was also a change of places at the front on the constantly wet track, Hamilton overtook Russell. By then it was crazy on the track, we reached the changeover point, Russell lost his second place, which Norris took over from him. But Norris was not satisfied with that, and soon he was leading the field. However, Piastri really stuck to his teammate, and the rain started again. By then, many people had switched to intermediate tires, not so the McLarens. One of the orange cars also lost it, because Piastri was only able to come to the pits a lap later.

Red Bull, however, timed it very well, and this brought Verstappen back into the race. Then, on lap 34, the drama happened, George Russell was told to stop his car, and this ended Mercedes' hopes of another victory. A few laps later, we arrived at another changeover point, but this time back to slicks and hards. This worked out best for Hamilton, who took the lead and had a very serious chance of celebrating another race win after a long time. The only question was whether the slicks on Hamilton's car would hold up, or would the hard compound loaded on Verstappen's car be the winner? Verstappen tried very hard, easily passing Norris, but the "science" stopped there.

All of this has resulted in Lewis Hamilton being able to celebrate another race victory after 2021, ahead of his great rivals Max Verstappen and Lando Norris.
