Specifically, by declaring in Woking, where he was already celebrating as world champion, that the next party would be about celebrating the world championship title. Okay, a driver shouldn't be a little gullible, and a team boss especially, but in the last few days McLaren has risen strongly from the ground of reality:
“We are developing next year’s car on the basis of the current one, and you can already see and feel how close we are to Red Bull Racing. It is useless to predict what will happen and how it will happen, but I would like to say that I really like the pace at which we are developing, and by the way, this can be a serious weapon. If we win one race, we can win more. And if someone wins more races, they will win the world championship.
