Anyone who has ever seen a car race in the rain knows that the spray behind the cars causes very serious problems. And they also know that this story is highly distorted.
All this is of course not negligible, but it can be clearly stated that the FIA is very grossly exaggerating this story. This has caused problems in the past, and even much bigger ones than recently, yet races have not been drowned in scandal because of it. The drivers did not constantly complain about the "extra risk", and the International Motor Sport Federation did not come up with such idiotic solutions and plans that even a person with minimal aesthetic sense would lose their hair...
But unfortunately, these times are over, the world is rushing towards political correctness and overinsurance – and motorsports is no exception. Business has become much more important than the sanctity of sport itself, the unpredictability and danger factor that give Formula 1 its sour taste is starting to disappear. Don't get me wrong, nobody likes to see accidents on the tracks, in any series. But everyone can rest assured, that's not why the FIA is committing its own aesthetic atrocities. A much more important aspect is that the "consumer" has fun and that nothing disturbs him in this experience. Neither the rain, nor the one that appears on the tickets to all worthwhile races: "Motorsport is dangerous"
However, the latter, as long as the world is the world, will not change. Or if it does, it will no longer be classic car/motorsport. It is better if the decision-makers also get this into their heads.
