Pierre Gasly knows this well , as does the fact that if someone manages to achieve outstanding results in the powertrain field, they have a serious chance at the final showdown . And Mercedes will be Alpine's engine supplier from 2026.
"I'm really curious to see what will happen, because 2026 will be a huge opportunity, when I too can win the world championship. That's why I'm preparing a lot for next year . Don't get me wrong, I'll do my best to succeed in 2025, but where I finish this year doesn't matter, I don't care. The team and I are both aware of what we can achieve this year and what next year, so we've already laid out the strategy we're working on. As I said at the London presentation, if I were to decide, I would put every single person and every resource behind the 2026 program right now. We want to fight for podiums and victories next year, that's our goal!" the Frenchman said resolutely.
