Not everyone was happy for Max Verstappen and Red Bull Racing at the public presentation at the O2 Arena in London. Perhaps understandably, this did not sit well with the four-time world champion, who said he would boycott similar events in the future…
It was clear from Verstappen's face early on that he wasn't really excited about the London circus, and Jos Verstappen also revealed that the audience's reaction had left his son feeling disappointed:
"I would describe what happened to Red Bull Racing as shameful. This event is about promoting Formula 1, and one of the greatest champions in the sport is being booed... Max told me that he doesn't want to experience this again, and if there is an event like this in the future - if it is in England - he will definitely miss it. The truth is, I have to agree with him. He does everything for the sport, he was there to serve the spectators, and of course to show the paintwork of the car. But when you are faced with such circumstances, the question arises: Why the hell did I come here? And that this was the last time," Verstappen's father interpreted his son's dissatisfaction.
