Lewis Hamilton made an astonishing statement at Ferrari's street parade in Milan. The Briton knows how to light rockets, and he's likely to get a lot of flak for his statement - even from his own fans...
Seven world championship titles are a nice thing, but they are no guarantee of anything, especially not for a team as hectic as Scuderia Ferrari in today's world. Moreover, to make such a statement without any proof is at best only valid in statistics and on paper, and even then only very strictly, when applied to Scuderia Ferrari. Hamilton's statement will probably be debated by many, but if we only look at the former legends of the Reds and their performance at Ferrari, then on this basis we could easily place Niki Lauda and Clay Regazzoni, the duo of Nigel Mansell and Alain Prost, Michael Schumacher and Rubens Barichello, the duo of Fernando Alonso and Kimi Raikkonen, and with a little goodwill even Kimi and Sebastian Vettel. And when looking at the whole F1 picture, this statement is quite banal...

Apparently, Hamilton was really excited by the new environment, he is soaring straight from the team change, and he doesn't hesitate to constantly note this, and in an increasingly sharp form: "Charles and I are probably the best driver pair F1 has ever had," said Hamilton.
A nice start. From here you can either fall hard or go to heaven . Time will tell which one the plane will drop!
