According to the Italian press, Hamilton drove onto the track at around 11 am during the closed test, where he quickly lost control of his SF-23 and crashed into the wall. The driver was not injured in the accident in sector three of the track, but the car was badly damaged: its suspension and some aerodynamic elements were badly damaged.
