Lewis Hamilton recently admitted that it would have been a greater risk for his career to stay at Mercedes, which has barely shown any progress for many years.
So, following his instincts, he ended up at Scuderia Ferrari...
"Actually, every new opportunity is a leap into the unknown. No one can predict the future, if you change jobs, if you change teams, it's always a risk. But I think the really big risk is if you get stuck in a situation that's comfortable, because that just makes you arrogant."
I signed for Scuderia Ferrari on impulse - let's call it instinct or even intuition. I wanted a challenge, because that's exactly what I need right now. Wonderful people, a wonderful opportunity awaits me here, I'm really looking forward to working together and I believe that together we can achieve something truly special.
Every year is a new beginning for me. Even in the times when I was winning continuously, I knew that this was a state and nothing was guaranteed in the future. I have to fight hard every day for success, to get into the car every day as a better driver. My intuition and this approach has brought me to a point where I have achieved much more than I ever thought I was capable of,” Lewis Hamilton reflected on his situation.
