Scuderia Ferrari can look back on a quiet and uneventful day, and every serious F1 fan knows what a great result this is after the first day of testing for a new car.
The Bahrain test is a high priority for everyone involved, but if there's anyone who feels it's more important than anyone else, it's Lewis Hamilton. It's a good sign that not only he, but also Charles Leclerc, made a very positive statement after the first day:
"It's always great to have a smooth day with a new car and not encounter any unexpected problems during your program. Of course, it's too early to comment on the performance, we still have a lot of analysis to do, we still have to process data during tonight to be smarter for tomorrow," said Leclerc.
"It's exciting to test, I love this part of the year. It's the first moment when we can see who is where, and we can see and feel what can await us. Well, after one run I can say that it was an incredible feeling to drive the SF-25. At the moment we are still experimenting, the focus is on collecting data and of course on getting used to the car as much as possible. But after just one day we have learned a lot and I have a very good feeling!" - rejoiced Hamilton.
