Dark clouds are gathering over the Red Bull Racing stable, and even team boss Christian Horner himself doesn't deny it.
Max Verstappen's surprise victory at the Japanese Grand Prix briefly put the deepening crisis behind him, but the blow came in Bahrain...:
“The car behaves similarly to last year’s model, although I would add that we didn’t struggle with braking problems in 2024. The balance is mostly upset between the entrance to the corner and the middle of it, which is an aerodynamic problem. The main problem is that we can’t find a solution to this. We understand the problems, but the problem is that the solutions we have tried on the equipment we use are unfortunately not in line with what we experience on the track. We need to dig deep into this, because if the two don’t overlap, then we won’t be able to climb out of the hole. Our specialists are great, they have built sensational cars in recent years, I sincerely trust that they can solve these problems. We just need to find a solution in relation to our simulator and wind tunnel, because at the moment it’s like looking at two different times on two different clocks,” said Horner.
