The 39th Hungarian Grand Prix began with the first free practice session, where Carlos Sainz and Scuderia Ferrari proved to be the fastest.
The first practice session at the Hungaroring took place in terrible heat, with almost no particular excitement. At first, the two Stakes were the most diligent, they collected the most kilometers and data, and Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton made their mark at the forefront. Meanwhile, Oliver Bearman, who will be a full-fledged Haas driver next year, got another FP1 opportunity, and then his future Alpine teammate, Esteban Ocon, caught our attention with a maneuver that was difficult to interpret. Not many things raised our pulse on this stage, which was eventually closed by Carlos Sainz in the lead ahead of Max Verstappen and Charles Leclerc.
