The Hungarian Grand Prix continued with the third free practice session in much cooler weather, but with a practically unchanged line-up.
The intensity of the first fifteen minutes was very lukewarm even compared to FP3, as no one else drove out onto the track except for the two Red Bulls. After that, the cars started to trickle in, but the dynamics and will did not really split the field later on, so it was difficult to provide any meaningful information. The first real fast lap was set by Lando Norris, then George Russell took over the lead from him. In the meantime, most of the field had already completed simulation laps, and if anyone wanted to get a clear picture of what the real order of forces looked like, they had a difficult time… We were already in the last minutes when Lewis Hamilton lost the Mercedes very badly, with great luck and a lot of routine the Briton managed to save it. In the last practice before qualifying, Lando Norris finally won ahead of Oscar Piastri and Max Verstappen, based on the overall picture, we are looking forward to an exciting qualifying!
