Although the season has not yet started, more and more voices in the industry are drawing attention to the fact that defending champion Red Bull Racing in the individual world championship will have a way to climb.
Red Bull itself does not deny this, in fact. Of course, now you can comment on nonsense, that "the anesthesia is working" and so on, but the truth is that a characteristic emerged during the tests. And this does not predict Max Verstappen's success in the Australian Grand Prix. Helmut Marko also acknowledged this, who emphasized in an interview that although they have made progress compared to 2024, the others have made more:
"At the moment, the favorite is clearly McLaren. The tests showed that they have improved a lot both on a single lap and on longer stages, not to mention tire wear. However, their superiority cannot be called alarming, especially considering the weather conditions in which the first kilometers were driven.
"It would be difficult to predict the exact order of strength, but I think that this year there could be up to four teams competing with each other. I'm talking about the same four teams that dominated the field last year, but I envision a stronger fight," said Helmut Marko.
