Miami GP: Verstappen's sprint pole

Miami GP: Verstappené a sprint pole - FansBRANDS®

The evening greeted us with sprint qualifying, the second race weekend in this formula being held at the Miami Grand Prix this year.

After the first fast laps of SQ1, events unfolded similarly to what we saw in FP1, with the Max Verstappen Oscar Piastri duo taking the lead. By the end of the mandatory medium compound stage, the field was quite tangled, as the two McLarens were in the lead, followed by Fernando Alonso and Verstappen who had another remarkable lap. Among the eliminated drivers were the two Alfa Romeos, the two Williams and Pierre Gasly.

During SQ2, it seemed that McLaren's dominance would continue, and the papayas might even have something to gain in the fight for the sprint pole. The two Mercedes, Yuki Tsunoda, as well as Kevin Magnussen and Esteban Ocon, had no such problems and were able to say goodbye to further battles. After that, the sprint qualifying promised a particularly exciting final stage!

It didn't happen that way, but regardless, we were just scratching our heads in SQ3... Verstappen came out on top, Norris was behind, Daniel Ricciardo was fourth, Lance Stroll beat Alonso, but the point hasn't changed this time either. In tomorrow's sprint race, Max Verstappen could start from the front, ahead of Charles Leclerc and Sergio Perez. Let's hope that the Miami track will show a more exciting face then.
