It's nothing new, as the recent four-time world champion has stated countless times on numerous forums that no matter how much he loves and values Formula 1, there is life beyond it. And he wants to experience it...
All this was confirmed by the Dutch world star's father, Jos Verstappen, who revealed that he knows his son has a plan to leave the F1 World Championship for a year as a trial:
"He still has a contract with Red Bull Racing until 2028, but nothing is set in stone. We'll see if he's still interested in F1 after that... Throughout his career, everyone has always told him what to do and how to do it. Now the point is approaching when he won't listen to anyone anymore, he'll just make his own decisions. There's definitely a life outside of Formula 1, and that really excites Max's imagination."
"I think it's possible that he will leave for a year, try himself somewhere else, and then come back. I don't know what will happen yet, but one thing is for sure: he is not motivated by winning seven or eight world championships, he is not chasing records, he is already more than satisfied with what he has achieved in his Formula 1 career so far," Verstappen's father made a very interesting statement.
Do you expect Max to just pack up and leave?
