"McLaren said something incredible after the Brazilian Grand Prix, because they started talking about how their priority is not the individual championship, but the constructors' championship. And that's always been the case... It's more than strange, because only inveterate losers say that, and according to them, McLaren is a loser. I admit, there's money in the constructors' championship, but that's really all, nobody cares who wins.
"People will only remember who wins the drivers' championship in the end, and in their eyes the team's championship is won by the individual championship. The constructors' victory is for the profession and the wallet, it looks good on paper, but I say it again: the dog doesn't care either... It's a shame about this attitude because they are having a great season, and it's already a great achievement to have forced Max Verstappen and Red Bull Racing to fight," Villeneuve said with his usual honesty.
