Pedro de la Rosa, one of Fernando Alonso's best friends, has said that the two-time world champion is in an unworthy situation.
De la Rosa believes that Alonso has given so much to the world of Formula 1 that sooner or later he will have to get something in return. For example, a 33rd race win, which he has been waiting for for so long:
"I think life always evens out in the end, and he deserves much more than what he's gotten from the sport so far. And I'm not just saying that because he puts in a lot of work, because every competitor works hard, from childhood. I feel that way more because of his unparalleled passion, dedication and God-given talent. He deserves more than two world titles, but I'm sure time will give him what he's missing."
"I'm really happy for him to be here at Aston Martin and I'm happy to call him my friend. Any team would love to have him, he's a treasure and he's fantastic to work with, we're constantly learning from him. We've known each other for a long time, which gives us the confidence to overcome challenges. At first I helped him settle in, but now he's so comfortable with the team that if I were gone he wouldn't even notice," joked the fellow Hungarian ex-F1 driver.
