Oscar Piastri has set the bar high for the past two years and he wants to raise it even higher this year. The Australian is not content with a secondary role and wants to collect the individual title in addition to his constructors' title!
He finished 9th in his first season, 4th in his second, and this year he will be aiming for the individual world championship title, both explicitly and implicitly:
“I think I can be a contender for the 2025 World Championship. I know there’s still room for improvement and learning, but I’ve gotten to the point now where there are days when I’m equipped with everything I need to win. I just need to be able to put things together. A lot of people have said I lacked balance, but balance alone doesn’t make you successful, you need raw pace and good tyre handling. I think I needed to get better in qualifying, put my laps together better.
"I made it very difficult for myself many times by finishing a few places behind the possible position... Now I've reached the point where I just need to put things together. We're already fighting in the top group, it shows much more here if you don't do something really well, but I feel like I have everything I need to win the world championship," Oscar Piastri said forcefully.
